Spanapark Sentinel VOL. XXV ISSUE. 4

Fall is my favorite time of year. Though I miss the beautiful sunshine of summer, I do love the changing leaves, stormy weather, and the cozy nights of fall. October is Spooky Time and, in my opinion, the true onset of fall here in the Pacific Northwest. As fall continues into November and December, we enjoy our holiday gatherings. This year may be different as we continue to practice social distancing and stay healthy. I traditionally host Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, and will continue to do so for those who wish to attend. It will be a wonderful change to host a gathering and I look forward to seeing all the bright and cheerful faces of our friends and loved ones.

Despite the restrictions in place across the globe, Lions everywhere are finding new ways to serve our communities and those in need. From eyeglasses and hearing aides to disaster relief, we continue to serve. New ways of fundraising are paramount to the success of our Clubs. Many clubs have branched out of their comfort zone and expanded their fundraising events to include more socially distant events and fundraisers. We have done the same. If you have ideas about fundraising opportunities that we can participate in, please bring it up at a club meeting or send an email. New ideas are always welcome!

Welcome New Club Officers

Spanapark Lions 2020-2021 Club Officer Induction Ceremony Today we had the honor of inducting our Club Officers for the 2020-2021 Lions Year. Thank you to First Vice District Governor Montes-Gonzalez for leading our induction ceremony. It was fun as always. This new year will be challenging and exciting at the same time.
